Hi, I’m Kendra

Kendra Bova, MS, RDN, CDN, IFNCP
Functional Nutritionist

Welcome! I’m a Functional Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and I help people make sense of their health when something feels off, even if they’ve been told everything looks “normal.”

My background in nutrition is rooted in science, but the way I work is personal and people-centered. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from George Washington University, my master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from Hunter College, and completed my dietetic internship at the University of Houston. I later earned my IFNCP credential through the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy. I’ve spent several years working in a functional and integrative care setting, where I learned how powerful it can be to slow down, listen closely, and look beyond surface-level symptoms.

I work with clients virtually, offering personalized functional nutrition counseling that focuses on understanding the bigger picture. While nutrition is a central part of the process, I also look at things like stress, sleep, movement, hormones, medical history, and daily routines, because all of it matters. Health rarely fits into neat boxes, and neither should care.

At the core of my work is the belief that you don’t need to “fix” yourself. My goal is to help you feel more supported in your body, build sustainable habits, and develop a plan that actually fits your life, not one that feels rigid or overwhelming.

Food has always been part of my story. My dad is a chef and Italian restaurateur, so I grew up surrounded by cooking, shared meals, and community. That early experience still shapes how I think about nourishment today: food as something supportive, grounding, and meant to be enjoyed.

When I’m not working with clients, you can usually find me hiking, reading a book, or experimenting in the kitchen.
